Privacy Policy
In short: we have no accounts, we never see your configs and we do not store your IP address.
This page explains in plain words what data V2Duo (the app and this website) processes. Our goal is to know as little as possible.
What we never collect
- Your name, phone number or any other identity details; the app has no accounts.
- Your configs; they stay encrypted on your own device.
- The sites you visit or the content of your traffic.
- Your raw IP address. To prevent abuse, such as mass form submissions, we keep only a one-way hash of the IP that cannot be turned back into the address.
What the app sends to work
- Fetching settings: every so often the app fetches public settings (announcements, new versions, ads) from our server. With that request it sends the platform (Android or Windows), the app language and a random install ID. We keep only a hash of the ID to count daily active users, and those records are deleted after about 40 days.
- Ad statistics: when an ad is shown or clicked, only an overall counter goes up, without your ID.
- Subscription: when you activate a key, the key and a hash of the install ID are sent so the device limit can be enforced.
- Seller ratings: to prevent repeat votes, a hash of the install ID is stored with each rating.
- Health checks and speed tests: to measure configs, the app sends small requests to public test addresses (such as Google, Cloudflare, Hetzner and OVH services). These requests go through your config and never reach us.
Buying a subscription
- To buy, you only choose a duration and a coin. Email is optional; if you enter one, it is stored encrypted and used only to help you recover your key.
- Blockchain transactions are public by nature. We keep the invoice number, amount, transaction hash and sender address to record the payment.
- If you start the purchase from inside the app, a hash of the install ID is stored with the invoice so the app can activate the subscription by itself.
Tickets and ad orders
What you write in the support or ad order form, including contact details and attachments, is kept so we can reply. Anyone who has a ticket's link can see it, so do not share that link.
Ads from ad networks
In some languages and countries ads may come from networks such as Google AdMob. Under their own policies these networks may process your device's advertising ID, and where the law requires it, they ask for your consent first. With the ad-free subscription no request is sent to any ad network.
This website
The public pages of this site set no cookies, and we use no third-party analytics. As with any website, the hosting service may keep standard web server logs for a short time.
How long we keep data
- Daily active users: about 40 days
- Invoices and payments: as long as needed for support and accounting
- Tickets: until you ask us to delete them
Deletion requests
To delete a ticket or an email stored with an invoice, message us through support and include the ticket or invoice number.
