Direct Boost, Combine Connections Without Any Config or Proxy
No config, or no need for one? V2Duo combines your links without a config and can change your DNS as well.
Most people know V2Duo for V2Ray configs, but combining connections needs no config at all. If you connect with no config selected, the app runs in direct boost mode: your links are combined and traffic goes straight to its destination, without passing through any relay server.
What it is good for
- Downloads from sites that need no proxy, at the combined speed of two links.
- App and game updates from stores that work without a proxy.
- Staying online: if home Wi-Fi keeps dropping, connections carry on over mobile data.
- Pairing with DNS mode: pick an ad-blocking or encrypted DNS and V2Duo is a DNS changer and a connection combiner at once.
How to use it
- On the Configs screen, make sure no config is ticked.
- Turn on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Connect. The home screen says direct boost.
Whenever you want a config, just tick one. Even while connected, it applies a few seconds later without disconnecting.
Why does this need a VPN app?
Android and Windows normally send all traffic over one link. To spread connections over several links, V2Duo has to receive the traffic and decide for each connection where it goes. That is why it sets up a local VPN. In direct boost mode, that VPN sends traffic to no server; everything stays on your device.
How much faster?
The same rule as for combining connections applies: the ceiling is roughly the sum of your links, and you see the biggest effect in multi-part downloads. Check the real number for your own links with the Speed lab, which works in this mode too.
Limits
- Blocked sites do not open with direct boost; for those you need a config.
- Some sites and apps get sensitive when their connections come from two different IP addresses (some banks or games, for example). If you see trouble, switch to Backup mode so everything uses one link.

Does direct boost use extra data?
No. The data you download is split between your links and nothing is added.
Does this mode give privacy or anonymity?
No. Traffic goes direct as usual. Use a config for privacy.
Are ads shown in this mode?
